Apache RV, ST. David, AZ

CLICK HERE TO SEE PICTURES OF THE AREA

First time here and only for 2 nights.  Several pecan orchards surround us and we were able to watch how they shake the trees to harvest the pecans.  Very interesting, while some have a machine to pick up the fallen pecans others do it by hand.  We stopped at a local orchard and bought some cracked pecans, two pounds for $10.

Visited Holy Trinity Monastery, it has a small RV park and small chapel, some very interesting information. Checked out their little thrift shop, you take what you need, leave what you want.

Took a drive on down the road to visit Tombstone again.  Didn't seem to be as many people as when we visited the last time.  Also noticed there are so many stores that have shut down.  We walked the main street, stopping in several stores.  Stopped in Big Nose Kate's Saloon (she was Doc Holiday's girl).  Had some good hamburgers for lunch and then it was dress up time.  Great thing about this place is they don't charge for "old time" pictures, Linda, the gal that dresses you and takes your pictures with your phone and or camera works on tips alone.  Got some fun pictures and I think we could of lived in the old west.

Tomorrow we head for Casa Grande for a 2 week stay, then onto Yuma for 3 weeks.
