Moved again

We left Yosemite yesterday and drove to Ponderosa TT Rv Park  in Lotus CA. Took about 3.5 hours and was a nice drive. The park is nice and sits on the American River. We are back in so the river is right behind us. As we got here it started to rain but it was light and is still here today. Will post more as time goes on as we will be here for 2 weeks.

BACK IN TIME FOR ME

CLICK HERE TOO SEE PICTURES OF HETCH HETCHY CA.

The other day Gloria and I took a drive to Hetch Hetchy Lake. It is in Yosemite but in the north end. My brother Craig and Me went here in the 60's with the boy Scouts for a back packing trip to Lake Vernon. Vernon is 10 miles above Hetch Hetchy. And I mean above, as I remember it was all uphill. But we had a great time up there for over a week.
On our way to Hetch Hetchy we passed Diamond O. That was a Boy Scout Camp but now is a public camp ground. We spent almost every summer there for a week. It was great seeing the old places I use to go to and have fun.
I took lots of pictures and have put some up so you all can see them. Just click the link up at the top.

Still out and about

CLICK HERE TO SEE OUR SECOND TRIP INTO YOSEMITE

Yesterday we went back to Yosemite and went to the south. We first stopped at Mariposa Flats. This is where they have the big Redwoods. I hiked up to the top (about 5 miles all together) and got lots of pictures. This is one great place to hike and see the Big Redwoods. I will post as always so keep an eye out. We also went to Glacier Point to see the water falls and to look down on Yosemite Valley. Wow what a view.
HAY IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU ALL WOULD POST A COMMENT ONCE IN A WHILE.
I never know what you think of the site or if I am just wasting my time. So give us a shout some time.

Touristing

CLICK HERE TO SEE PICTURES OF CALAVEAS BIG TREES

Yesterday we went to Calaveras Big Trees. This is a spot I went to when I was a kid in the Boy Scouts. Ok it has been a very long time since I was there. I have always remembered a big Redwood that had been cut down a long time ago and wanted to see it again. Well it is still there just like before. Wow what a tree. It was cut down by 5 guys and took 22 days to do it.The tree was so big they could only cut it by boring it as there was no saw big enough. The Tree turned out to be only 1250 years old and I just wonder how big it would have been if it would have lived another 1000 years. I guess they did it just because they could but what a wast. Well that is not all of the trees and they are great. Gloria and I walked the trail through the North section. Yes I said Gloria, she walked some of it but the trail is a mile and a half so I sent her back about a third of the way through. She wanted to do the whole trail but I thought it was too much for her. I will post pictures of the trees but it will be some time later.

No the MOVE again

CLICK HERE TO SEE SOME PICTURES OF YOSEMITE

Left Morgan Hill yesterday and drove to Yosemite Lakes TT park. This is a nice place and close to Yosemite National Park. Only 5 miles out side the north gate. We got here just before the rain and it has been a bit wet since then. Got all set up and yes Bristol just had to go for his walk. So we both got wet but not too bad. Today we drove to Yosemite just to see the sights in the bad weather. Got some nice pictures of water falls and even a Bear along side the road eating some grass. We have real bad internet and phone here so posts will be few and will not upload lots of pictures till we leave here in 3 weeks. Will post as offten as I can. The Park dose have WiFi in the lodge but it is real slow as most of them are.

JUST OUT SIGHT SEEING

CLICK HERE TO SEE PICTURES OF OUR TRIP TO MONTEREY CALIF

CLICK HERE TO SEE PICTURES OF OUR TRIP TO ROARING CAMP RAILROAD

WE HAVE UPDATED OUR SCHEDULE SO IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHERE WE WILL BE CHECK OUT "OUR SCHEDULE"

We have been having a great time here in Morgan Hill. On Monday we took a drive over to Monterey Calif. and checked out the Bay and then took the 17 Mile road drive. Wow that was sharp only drawback was there are no motorcycles allowed on the road. But what a great drive.. It follows the coast and there is lots to see. With Golf courses all along the ride including Pebble Beach at the end. We even saw Deer walking on the courses. Then on Tuesday our friends Rob and Ann, that we met on our travels, came over and visited with us, we had a Bar-B-Que and got to catch up on our travels. They are working a RV Park in Fenton just over the hill from us by Santa Cruz.It was a great time. Then on Wednesday we drove over to their RV in Fenton and went to the Roaring Camp Railroad. Ann took us over there as Rob had to work. The steam train takes you to the top of Bear Mountain through the Redwoods. This was the highlight of our trip. We love Redwoods and it is special to see trees that are up to 3000 years old. Got lots of pictures and you will have to click on the link to see them all. After that we met up with Rob and they took us to lunch at a great little Deli in Fenton. We will be leaving here on Monday for Yosemite for three weeks.
