We are on the move

We left the Bar Harbor area yesterday and drove south to Wells again and are staying in overflow again as there is no room in the park. We will be here till Friday and head west to Vermont for one night and then to NY for another. We will stop when we get to Jefferson OH to stay at our next stop and meet up with our friends. Will post more when we get there.

Lots to see and do around here

We have been busy here in upper Maine. There are lots of places to see and things to do. We took the bike for a ride around Arcadia park and went up to Cadillac MT. You can see for a real long way up there and all around the area.

We also took the kayak out on Long Pond in the park. Seems they call lakes ponds out here. It was fun but the wind came up and made it real hard to paddle around.

We also went to a Lumber Jack Show. It is run and owned by a lady that has been in lots of TV shows.  They tell you all about the lumber jack business and show you allot of there skills. Chopping, pole climbing and log rolling.

We also went and saw the world famous Ray Murphy. He started the Chainsaw carving back in 1952 and has sawed logs into art ever since all over the world. He is so good he can saw someone name in a pencil and even sharpen it too. I got luck and got picked to have him saw my name in a wood belt buckle. Only thing about that is you are wearing it while he dose it.

We have also met some real nice people here in the park and even went out to dinner with Bob and Daria from TX. We also ran into friend of Brian and Phyllis here in the park. They are Ronda and Phil. It is always fun meeting new people.

Having fun

We have been having a good time here in the Bar Harbor area. They have had some nice things going on here in the Park. First we got to go to a Elvis show. It was a good one and the guy Bill Nye did a real nice job and was lots of fun. Gloria even got to go up on stage with him.

The next night they had a Lobster Experience. We went out and bought two lobsters and they cooked them and served them with Corn and Potatoes. They told us all about lobsters and how to eat them. It was a good program and all loved it.

We also went to Bar Harbor on the bus and walked around the Village Green. Got to see some of the shops and had Ice Cream at one of the shops. I also walked to the area to see the bay.

Also took the bus around Arcadia National Park. Got some pictures but will do more when we drive it. It is a real nice park with lots to see. Better in your own vehicle.
