Took a drive today to New Orleans

CLICK HERE TO SEE PICTURES OF NEW ORLEANS

Decided today to go to New Orleans as the weather is going to turn back the next few day. It was a nice drive and only about 60 miles away. Sun was out but it was humid and real warm. Drove down Bourbon St and  then to the river front. I went out walking and got to see a nice old river boat and had a good view of the Mississippi River. It sure is a big river. Then I went to St. Louis Cathedral that is the oldest Catholic Church in the US. It was first built in 1718 and rebuilt in 1727 and burnt down in 1788 and rebuilt again in 1794. Also walked in the Plaza Armas built in 1762. Lots of very old thing to see but didn't get a chance to go to the museum as it was closed. You can see the pictures by clicking the link at he top. Not sure we will be doing much more here as the weather will be bad the rest of the week. But you never know. We will be leaving here on Tuesday morning and heading east about 125 miles.
