Warmer where?????

Ok we have made it to Bridgeport TX and it sure isn't all that warm. It is warmer than Denver by a long shot but it is still cold at 39 for a high. We are at an RV park called Bay Landing and is one of our member parks. It is on a large lake called Lake Bridgeport. Have not been down to look at it yet as it is real windy and cold. We will be here for 3 weeks and should have time to enjoy the area. We met up here with friends we have met on the road over the last few years. Brian and Phyllis and Andy and Chris. We always have a good time when we all get together. Well that is all for now and will keep you all informed on our doings.

Heading for warmer weather

Well we left Denver after a great visit. We got to meet up with family and friends for lots of good times. We will miss all our friends and family but it was time to get out of there. Weather is starting to turn cold and you all know how Gloria feels about cold weather. So headed out and stopped for the nigh at a small park in Capulin NM. It is a nice place for a lay over and only costs $14.00 a night. We will leave here in the morning for Amarillo, TX. for the night then off to a park called Bay Landing in Point TX. It is a member park and we will be there for 3 weeks. I have updated our travel plans on this site so if you want to know where we will be for now you can check it out.

Still here in the Denver area

Just an update. We have been having a good time here in our home area. The weather has been good to me but Gloria thinks it is a bit cold. Guess she is right as in the morning it is cold. Like in the high 30's and low 40's but it warms up most day.
Gloria's Cataract surgery went great and now she has 20 20 vision but now has to wear reading glasses. She has one more visit to the doctor to make sure all is still good. After that we will start our west cost trip.
We have been meeting up with lots of family and friends and having a great time. I even got to get together with some friends I have not seen in 20 years and that was way cool. We all worked together at Asphalt Paving. It is always nice to meet up with old friends. We have gone out to eat with lots of them and that is fun too.

We are HERE

We made it to the Denver area on Saturday the 27th. So if you didn't leave town it is too late. hehee
We are staying at South Park Mobile Home Park on S. Federal.  It is a better park than the one we stayed at last year. Much quieter and cleaner. We were planning on leaving here on the  26 but will be here a bit longer as Gloria is going to have eye surgery. So think we will be here till the middle of Nov. We will be in touch with you all and try to get together before we leave.

Last lap till Denver

We stayed last night at Mill Creek RV park in Paxico KA and left this morning and are at High Plains RV park in Oakley KA.. Mill Creek was an ok park but way too close to RR track. It was had to get a good nights sleep with trains running all night. Here about all we have to listen to is the HWY. So it should be much better. Besides this is a great park they have a Bar and Café here. So dinner was done there. We will leave here in the AM and be in Denver early afternoon. So here we come and as least I let you know so you can get out of town before we get there. hehehehe

We are now in ST. Lewis Mo

We got to ST. Lewis yesterday and are staying at Babler State Park in Wildwood MO. It is a real nice state park with 50 Amp. electric but no water or sewer. Nice concrete pads to park on thought. After we got here we decided to go to Daniel Boons Family Farm. This was the place he finished his life at. Nice place to see and learn some more about his history.

Also went over to my childhood friend Bill Kelly's house and met he wife Carrie and spent the evening talking about old times. It was a great day.
Today we went to the ST Lewis Arch. Now that is one high place to go. We rode the Tram  ride to the top and got a great view of the surrounding area. That was lots of fun and if you are ever in the area you should go see it. They also have two movies you can watch. One on the building of the arch and the other is all about The Lewis and Clarks Expedition. That was good as we have now been to the start of there expedition and the end of it.
