News

Just updated our Schedule. So check it out and see where we will be and when.

Wow

Yesterday Gloria and I took a short drive up the cost to see what all we could find up off the beaten path. We ended up in a town called Oceanside OR. Nice little town with a great beach. We went down on the beach and I saw a tunnel so I went to explore it. Well it went through the hill and came out on another beach. Gloria could not go as the tunnel was full of rocks and real uneaven. When I got to the other beach I found a baby Seal who had gotten seperated from its Mom. He was so cute and would come up to anyone. Think he just wanted some one to help him find his Mom. He looked scared and hungry. Sure hope his mom found him.

Pacific City OR.

We left Newport OR yesterday and drove the short distance (54 miles) to Pacific City. We stayed here two years ago and the park is still the same as before. This is a nice park with lots of trees and bushes. Only thing is it is still wet and rainy. It was going to be nice today and 70 but guess they lied. Oh well it will clear up soon I hope. Just wanted to let you all know where we are now. Will post more as time goes on.

We have been out and about

GO HERE TO SEE SOME PICTURES OF THE NEWPORT AREA

Well the last few days we have been doing things. We went to the Oregon State Aquarium and checked out all the Fish and Animals. It was real nice and the Shark Tank was great.
We also trIed our hand at Crab Fishing. Went out on the pier at Newport and dropped in the Pot. We didn't do all that good but did come home with 2 Dungeness and 5 Red Rock Crabs. This isn't the right time of the year for Crabbing but what the hell. We took them home and had a good dinner.
We leave here the 26th. and head 60 miles north to Pacific City for 2 weeks. Hope to go Crabbing again. The last few days have been real nice but more rain coming in tomorrow.

Newport OR.

Well we have been here for about a week and been too lazy to post. We have been busy doing thing here in the park. Like Bingo, Eating and craft Sales. Gloria did real good at the craft sale and will again on Sat. We have been to town some and have picked up a Crab Pot so I can try my hand at Crabbing. Will do that on Friday if the rain stops. Yes it is raining right now and has been off and on for the last 3 days. I have been on the dock and talked to the locals for info on how to do it. They have been real helpful and I should do OK. Went to the beach and did some walking as it is real nice down there. I tend to walk down to there to take my walk in the morning. It is only about a quarter mile away. Want to go to the Aquarium when the weather is better. Hope that will happen next week. Have met some great people here and some that we have met before. It is always nice to meet new people and old friends to chat with. Haven't taken allot of pictures here as we did that last time we were here.

Moveing again

Right now we are in Sutherlin OR. for the night. We left the Placerville area on Monday and drove to Lakehead CA. for the night. It is on the north end of Shasta Lake. We left there this morning and stopped here for the night. We only like to drive under 300 miles a day so we try to make it around 250. We leave here in the morning and head for Newport OR. for 2 weeks. Will post more from there.

Still here but being Lazzy

CLICK HERE TO SEE PICTURES OF THE AREA

Well since we have been here we have done some running around. First we went to Marshall Gold Discovery State Park. This is a cool place to visit and if you are in the area it is a must see. This is where Sutters Mill was and where Gold was discovered in Calif. You get to see lots of gold rush history and all that stuff. We sure did like it.
We also went to El Dorado County Museum and as we were the only ones there we had a guided tour. Learned lots about the history of the area and all about the indians and even that Mr. Studebacker started out here by building Wheelbarrows. Then went on to build Cars.
We also went up to see our friends Lee & Elaine that we have met in Texas and other places. They live up by Placervill and have a real nice house and there new Motor Home is just as nice. They also came here to visit with us some more. It is always nice to catch up with old friends. Hope we meet up again real soon.
My brother Craig came down to see us the other day. We chatted and had dinner and caught up on old time and new times too. He still is working but he likes it so that is ok.
We have been to the Red Hawk Casino twice and have had a good time both times and a great lunch as Lee and Elain joined us there. Hell I even Won and that is strange for me.
Weather here has been nice but it is hot now and will be hotter before we leave on Monday. Sure GLAD we are on a 50 Amp site here in the park as we have had both AC's on alot. This is a nice park with the American River running through it.

Bristol celebrated his 4th Birthday on the first of June and he had a can of good Cat food as a cake. He tryed to shair it with us but we had already eaten.
